Jo Morton MSc BSc(Hons) is a fully qualified and insured practitioner of McTimoney techniques for animals having graduated from McTimoney College with a Master’s degree in Animal Manipulation (ratified by the University of Wales). She holds a BSc (Hons) in Zoology from Newcastle University and is also qualified in Merishia Equine and Canine Massage Therapy and Equine Myofascial Release. She is a member of the McTimoney Animal Association and the British Complimentary Medicine Association.
Prior to entering the world of McTimoney, Jo spent 6 years working for the BBC Natural History Unit, working on wildlife documentaries such as Planet Earth, Natural World and Springwatch. She also spent a year back in 1999 managing a horse-back safari camp in Zimbabwe. Animals - horses in particular - have always been a great passion for Jo who has had her own horses and dogs from a young age, and worked on yards around the country in various disciplines. She still has a huge passion for riding and is currently bringing on a 5 year old ISH mare who she hopes to event in the future.
Jo thoroughly enjoys her job and takes great satisfaction in being able to improve the wellbeing, comfort and performance of horses and dogs, as a McTimoney therapist.
