I'm Jo, a Wiltshire based Dog Trainer and Animal McTimoney Therapist who specialises in using ethical, science based training methods and treatments.

I am a fully qualified and insured practitioner of McTimoney techniques for animals having graduated from McTimoney College with a Master’s degree in Animal Manipulation (validated by the University of Wales). I hold a BSc (Hons) in Zoology from Newcastle University and am also qualified in Merishia Equine and Canine Massage Therapy. I am a member of the McTimoney Animal Association and the British Complimentary Medicine Association. Prior to entering the world of McTimoney, I spent 6 years working for the BBC Natural History Unit making wildlife documentaries (such as Planet Earth, Natural World, Blue Planet and Springwatch). I also spent a year back in 1999 managing a horse-back safari camp in Zimbabwe. Animals have always been a great passion for me and having had my own horses and dogs from a young age, and worked on yards around the country in various disciplines, I feel very privileged to be able to improve the wellbeing, comfort and performance of horses and dogs, following my McTimoney training.

On the dog training side of things, my mission is to help dogs and their humans to build unbreakable bonds, by teaching fun and effective training techniques. My training is designed to aid you in developing your dogs behaviour at home, in company and out in the big wide world. I believe that we can live side by side with our animals and understand each other, the same way we do with our families. It is up to us to teach them and enable them to have a good life, after all, they don't get to choose how they live.

I am an assessed and qualified member of the IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Trainers - www.imdt.uk.com ) and hold an OCN Level 3 Certificate in The Principles of Dog Training and Behaviour. IMDT trainers are to adhere to a strict Code of Ethics and only use proven by science dog training techniques.
I am proud to display the UK Dog Behaviour & Training Charter symbol. In addition, I have continued my professional development by attending additional courses and currently hold certificates in:
Canine Body Language
Easy Peasy Puppy Instructor Course
